Book: Anticancer: A New Way of Life
by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD
Dr. Servan-Schreiber writes, "All of us have cancer cells in our bodies. But not all of us
will develop cancer." I agree with this statement and believe it is important for all of us to
understand and evaluate it, whether we are concerned about cancer or not.
David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD, is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University
of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a cofounder of the Center for Integrative Medicine,
and a board member of the Society for Integrative Oncology. His book Anticancer is a
NY Times bestseller and has been translated into more than 30 languages.
Some key topics in the book include:
- How to structure our diet around nature's most nutrient-rich, cancer-fighting foods,
based on brand-new research on mushrooms, stone fruits, olive oil, and more
- What role vitamin D3 plays in slowing cancer
- Why to avoid sugars and bleached flours
- Why green tea and red wine
- How to reduce exposure to harmful effects of cell phones, polycarbonate plastics,
food preservatives and other common consumer goods
- How to maintain mind-body balance through sickness and health.
- Importance of friendship and relaxation.
The latest edition of this book is now available in bookstores and online.
